Our Team

Meet Our Team

At Balance Counseling, we are invested in your healing. Our team of licensed professional counselors and interns stay current on the most effective trauma-informed and attachment-based methods so that we can help you get to the root of your struggles. We treat children, teens, and adults experiencing a variety of challenges to their mental health.

In order to be paired with one of our clinicians, you can contact our office to discuss your needs and availability. From there, you will be paired with one of our therapists, who will schedule an intake as quickly as possible to better understand your (or your child’s) goals for therapy.

Because we aim to meet clients where they are, we take a highly individualized, holistic approach to counseling. Once the first session has established presenting issues and goals, we will use a variety of evidence-based, trauma-informed methods—including play therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)—to customize our sessions. However, we believe that the most important part of the therapeutic process is the client-therapist relationship itself, as true healing cannot be done until you feel safe and seen by your clinician.

Esperanza (Hopey) Rodriguez, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Associate

I have worked with a variety of individuals, ranging in age, sex, economic, and educational backgrounds. My education in social work led me to work in a nonprofit for years, where I was exposed to working with different groups of individuals, specifically in areas of high need. I eventually worked with middle and high school-aged youth, educating them on health and relationship topics, and providing a referral system for them and their family for any needs.

I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at El Paso with a concentration in social work. Currently, I’m attending Texas Tech University Health Sciences for my master’s in clinical mental health counseling. I consider myself empathetic about a client’s worldview, and my approach is client-centered. I have worked with youth for over ten years and maintain training in both sand tray therapy and EMDR.

Savannah Ince, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Associate

I endeavor to provide a safe and comforting environment where clients can feel validated with their experiences and feelings. With a background in education and working in the school system, I have strengthened my passion to empower others to engage in their own healing process to improve their overall happiness and well-being. Every client deserves a unique approach that best fits their needs, therefore I strive to consider different approaches and therapeutic orientations with the client’s needs being the first priority. I value building a collaborative relationship with client’s in order to engage in the therapeutic process together.
